2007 graduate of the Harry Wendelstedt Professional Umpiring School (ranked 6th overall)
CAN AM Baseball League in 2007 and 2008
Started officiating college baseball in 2008.
Currently working in the SWAC, SIAC, CC, SAC, Peach Belt, and SAA.
Post-Season: several conference tournaments, NCAA South Regional (2022, 2023)
District coordinator for the Georgia High School Association since 2022, mentoring and assigning umpires to the GHSA post-season.
JJ January
As a professional umpire, JJ made it to AAAS and worked as a fill-in for several Big League games.
He currently works in the SEC among other conferences. JJ has a passion for teaching and helping umpires. He worked as an instructor at the MiLB Umpire Academy and is a regular at camps and training sessions sharing his knowledge and experience. As a player, JJ was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in 1999.
